Okay, I got this from Jenni. I really doubt anyone's going to comment and make me pick fandoms for them, but I'm still willing to play along. *g*

Comment to this entry and I'll pick three of your fandoms. You must then update your journal and answer the following questions:
1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?
2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
3. Favourite episodes/books/movies/etc.?
4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
5. Do you think that more people should get into this fandom?

Jenni picked General Hospital,Harry Potter and Starsky & Hutch. So, without further ado....

1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?

GH: LOL! Bad reception. *g* When I was 15 we moved to Morgan Hill and the TV antenna got squat (and ABC,) so I started watching GH until we got cable and I could watch Guidling Light again. Then Robert Scorpio showed up. *ka-thud*

Harry Potter: Umm, that's a toss-up. I bought the first four books so I could read to Olen when he got older, but I didn't actually read them then. I read them after the wife and son of the guy I was sharing a cubicle with me such a hard time for not at least reading the first two books (we were sitting in line for a sneak preview showing of Chamber of Secrets at the time.) I came home and thought I could just read the first two books and stop there. Ha! I near broke an ankle dropping the second book on my bed and sprinting to the dining room to grab the third.

Starsky & Hutch: Oh, this one is all on Grandma. I got hooked on this show during the four years our tv was broke and the only way I could see anything was to stay the weekend at Grandma's. I had to watch whatever she was watching and Grandma watched every cop show that was on (S&H, Dragnet, Adam-12, The Rookies, The Streets of San Fransisco, Barnaby Jones, Cannon....) Plus, the curly-haired one was awfully cute.

2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?

GH: Done dropped it like a hot potato.

Harry Potter: Oh, I think I'll stay in this on for years to come. I truly love these books and could literally open any one of them to any page and just fall in (and Deathly Hallows is FINALLY coming out in paperback on July 7th!)

Starsky & Hutch: This one I'll drop in and out of. I may not play in it like I once did, but I'm always going to love the boys (and defend my Stripped Tomato from little boys.) I can't run across an episode of it and not stop and watch it.

3. Favourite episodes/books/movies/etc.?

GH: *blink* Umm, almost anything to do with Lucy Coe. When they killed BJ, she was a snotty little brat, but the performances surrounding her death were fabulous. Pretty much anything with Luke Spenser.

Harry Potter: If I have to pick just one, I'd have to go with "The Prisoner of Azkaban." I still adore those forehead slapping moments when you get to the last first chapters and you realize she gave you all the clues all along and you just didn't get them.  Although "Flesh, Blood, and Bone" in Goblet of Fire rates pretty high for shear creepiness.

Starsky & Hutch: Bwahahahahaha! Where's Keri? She can totally answer this for me. Everyone together now "Sweet Revenge." Love, love, love that episode. Especially the sequence when Starsky's heart stops. Love it.

4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?

GH: Not any more. Don't look at me like that, Jenni, I offered to tell you how it all ended.

Harry Potter: I have one large and several small unfinished fan fics that I plan to get back to, and occasionally I pop into The Leaky Cauldron and Fiction Alley Park. (Jenni doesn't want to talk about what I post there. *veg*)

Starsky & Hutch: Not too much, anymore. Occasionally, when Keri mentions something. And I have some fic I need to finish.

5. Do you think that more people should get into this fandom?

GH: No. The show got hidiously bad. No one should be subjected to it.

Harry Potter: Are there any people left who aren't in this fandom? (Besides Keri.) If there are, they should totally get into it.

Starsky & Hutch: Ummm, uh, there's a lot of wank in this fandom, so I'm not sure I'd advise getting into it. But more people should watch the show.

Wank? In my sweet fandom? Never....

Man, remember how excited we were (I'm very nostalgic today) when we knew good old Channel 36 was finally playing SR and there would be tapes a'plenty! Good times.

You do realize I can't play this game, right? One fandom. In deep. Never leaving.

My rice is cooked, must go eat it with chicken now, and pack lunch for tomorrow, since I can't seem to remember to win the lottery and I have to work for a living.

Yes, I also remember that they played the evil episode three times in a row when they said they were going to play SR. Rat bastards. As I recall, you were getting pretty beside yourself with frustration (and yet, you still managed to send it to me loooooooooong before Deanna, who supposedly had it already.)

*snork* It did occur to me that yours would be: Starsky & Hutch, Starsky & Hutch, Starsky & Hutch. However, you do watch Supernatural and have opinions about it. So it might be Starsky & Hutch, Supernatural, Starsky & Hutch. You use one S&H to talk about how you got into the show originally and one to talk about how you got into the online fandom.

I'm sorry. At least you don't have to work for the idiot who can't even pronounce the name of the state correctly.

I just had bittersweet chocolate chip ice cream at Gunther's, but I have to do that whole lunch thing too, now.

and occasionally I pop into The Leaky Cauldron and Fiction Alley Park. (Jenni doesn't want to talk about what I post there. *veg*)

Reeeeally? *interested squeaks* Do tell - Harry/Draco? Hermione/Snape? What's your poison? :)

LOL! Mostly Harry/Ron (I love "Circles of Power") and Remus/Sirius, but I do have a fondness for some well-written Harry/Hermione/Ron. Even wrote a threesome PWP myself. (And, occasionally, in my deepest, darkest moments, maybe a little Ron/Draco. Oh, and you can't tell me that Lucius didn't have Snape down on his knees with a dog collar on and chain attached to it.)
